XCEDA Capital

We are a regulated fund manager specialising in providing asset-backed lending to Australian small businesses (including a specialist capability in SME’s) and commercial projects. We raise funds directly from wholesale investors in a series of pooled or stand-alone investment trusts, and deploy this funding into our lending business.

XCEDA has extensive experience in investment funds management and the lending and property sectors. It boasts a highly experienced and respected Board and Executive management team, supported by leading investment and industry professionals.

Daniel McGrath

CEO
Daniel has extensive experience in senior management positions, having worked as a solicitor for major international law firms Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and Shearman & Sterling LLP, representing banks, private equity firms and global corporations. Daniel was also Senior Legal Counsel for Challenger Financial Services Group Ltd advising on acquisitions and divestments for the Real Estate and Infrastructure investment teams. Daniel is currently the CEO of Xceda Finance Ltd (NZ), a non- bank deposit taker licensed by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. Daniel holds a BA/LLB from QUT and an MA from Cambridge University.

Jim Creagh

Chairman
Jim is an Australian-qualified Solicitor with over 47 years’ experience as a commercial lawyer. He is presently a Consultant to Creagh Weightman Lawyers, a boutique commercial law firm in Brisbane, which he co-founded in 1998 having previously been a Senior Partner in the National law firm Phillips Fox (now DLA Piper). During his career, Jim has practised extensively in the corporate area and has considerable experience in advising companies on capital raisings, initial public offerings and ASX listings. He is an experienced company director with a detailed understanding of corporate governance issues. Jim is a Trustee of the University of Queensland Rugby Union Foundation Trust. Jim holds a BA.LLB, University of Queensland and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services.

Ross Stiles

Director
Ross has been involved in the property and financial services industries for in excess of 40 years. In 1998, Ross was a founding partner and Managing Director of ASX top 200 property investment company, Cromwell Corporation Limited (ASX Code CMW), now known as Cromwell Property Group. Cromwell now owns and manages in excess of $A11.5 billion in property assets in Australia and internationally (including UK based Valad Europe) and has a market cap in excess of $3 billion as at 30 June 2019. Ross holds an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services and is also a non-executive chairman of CFMG Capital, an investment manager in residential, retail and commercial property markets.

Patrick Creagh

Head of Operations
 Patrick brings a range of experience to the company in the role of Head of Operations, having been employed as a civil engineer with Santos Limited in operations support, with Wagstaff Piling, one of Australia’s largest piling contractors in the role of foundation design, tendering and estimation, and as a fixed income sales dealer by the fixed income experts FIIG Securities Limited. Patrick holds dual degrees from QUT Brisbane in Civil Engineering and Business Management and has completed his training under ASIC’s RG 146 for providing general financial advice.

Emily Leyden

Finance Manager

Emily joins Xceda in the role of Finance Manager, having previously worked as a Financial Planner for both Westpac and Core Advisor Group. Prior to this and during her early years of corporate employment, Emily worked for real estate investor and fund manager, Cromwell Property Group. Emily holds a dual degree in Arts and Psychology and has completed her Advanced Diploma of financial services.

Graeme O'Leary

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Graeme was appointed as our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in November 2020. Graeme started working with Xceda Finance in the 18 months prior to his appointment as one of our external accountants at Ernst & Young. Graeme brings vast experience and capability to Xceda Finance’s financial governance practices. Graeme works in our Auckland office overseeing all our NZ and Australian finance and compliance operations.Graeme holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting & Commercial Law from the University of Otago, a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting (GradDipCA) and is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA ANZ).
